The Story of
Eastern Earth
The Eastern Earth was born from a simple, stubborn conviction: that the knowledge encoded in artisan hands is among the most precious things our civilisation possesses — and that it is disappearing with frightening speed.
Founded in Pune, India, as part of Regenerative Textiles Private Limited, The Eastern Earth grew out of grassroots encounters with weavers, dyers, potters, and quilters whose practices represented not just aesthetic tradition, but entire philosophical systems of living with care.
What began as small workshop gatherings evolved into something larger — a platform for cultural exchange, artisan livelihood, creative collaboration, and community. We learned that when people are given the space to slow down and make things with their hands, something profound shifts in them.
Today, The Eastern Earth brings together artisans, designers, conscious brands, and cultural institutions across India and beyond. Our events range from intimate one-day workshops to multi-day creative retreats and large-scale cultural festivals.
But at heart, we remain what we always were: a gathering place. A space where threads — literal and metaphorical — come together to weave something new.
